Kitchen Safety & Participant Guidelines
To ensure everyone has a fun and safe culinary experience, we ask all students to follow these professional kitchen standards:

  • Proper Attire: For your safety, closed-toe shoes are required in the kitchen. We recommend comfortable clothing and suggest pulling long hair back. We provide professional aprons to protect your clothes.
  • Knife Safety: Our chefs will begin every class with a knife skills demonstration. Always carry knives by the handle, pointed down at your side, and never leave a knife in a sink full of soapy water where it can’t be seen.
  • Hand Hygiene: Thorough hand washing is mandatory before we handle any ingredients. We provide dedicated hand-washing stations with antibacterial soap.
  • Handling Hot Surfaces: Always assume a stovetop or oven door is hot. Use the provided dry oven mitts or side towels when handling pans—damp cloths can create steam burns.
  • Cross-Contamination: We take food safety seriously. Please use the color-coded cutting boards provided for raw proteins versus fresh produce to prevent cross-contamination.
  • Equipment Care: Our kitchen is outfitted with professional-grade appliances. Please wait for a brief orientation from your chef before operating specialized equipment like induction hobs, blowtorches, or stand mixers.
  • Alcohol Policy: If wine or beer is served during your class, we ask that you consume responsibly. Our chefs reserve the right to limit participation if safety is compromised.

Not at all! Our classes range from beginner-friendly basics to advanced techniques. Each session is led by a professional chef who provides step-by-step guidance, so you’ll feel confident regardless of your current skill level.

What will I actually learn?

Beyond just following a recipe, you will learn fundamental culinary skills such as proper knife handling, flavor balancing, and specialized techniques like [sautéing/sous-vide/pastry folding/taco making/asian cooking etc] depending on the specific cooking class theme you’ve chosen.

Is this a hands-on class or a demonstration?
  • We believe the best way to learn is by doing. Our classes are fully hands-on, meaning you will have your own team and station to prepare the dishes under the chef’s supervision.

Are ingredients and equipment provided?

Yes, we provide everything! All professional-grade cookware, local ingredients, and even an apron for you to wear during the class are included in the booking price.

Can you accommodate allergies or dietary restrictions?

We aim to be as inclusive as possible. Please notify us at least 72 hours in advance if you are vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, or have specific nut allergies so we can adjust the ingredients for your team and station.

Do we get to eat what we cook?

Absolutely! At the end of the session, the group sits down together to enjoy the full meal you’ve prepared, often accompanied by a glass of paired wine or a refreshing beverage.

Can I book a private cooking party?

What is your cancellation policy?

Because we source fresh ingredients specifically for each student, we require 1 week notice for a full refund or to reschedule your booking.
